Mediterranean feeling on Gotland

The house on eastern Gotland is built on rocky ground with low windswept pine forest as nearest neighbour. You can smell the sea sweeping over the island

The house was built in 2016 and was then painted twice with Vitriol Pine Tar. In 2017 it was built into a terrace and in 2018 the garden was laid out with a beautiful limestone walkway to the house. Stefan’s partner Karin discovered Vitriol Pine Tar online when they acquired knowledge about different colour alternatives.

– We chose Vitriol Pine Tar so that the light grey colour would go in tone with the landscape around the house and in combination with the good impregnation effect.

Stefan further suggests painting the panel before it is set up as the paint is thin, it is also important to protect the ground under where you paint, as well as to dress in sacrificial clothes and to use gloves.

It is incredibly beautiful with the Mediterranean-inspired blue lining boards and the door that makes you dream away to the Greek archipelago!
