The winner of this year’s Tjärlek competition

The winner of the 2018 Auson Tjärlek competition has been revealed. The award goes to the family of Ida Anastasio and their house in Borlänge.

“We moved into our house in 2016. It’s built with loose timber and we got it from the factory with one layer of paint already there. First we were contemplating green vitriol, but after some googling we fell in love with the pine tar vitriol. We live close to nature with horses as our closest neighbours, and the pine tar vitriol fits perfectly into the surroundings. With the first layer of paint already in place, the rest was up to us. It took its time with two small children, but the pine tar vitriol is a convenient and easy paint to work with. This combined with the fact that it provides great protection and looks really stylish makes us even more pleased with our choice. It’s very nice that it slowly turns lighter with time while still keeping a beautiful shade. We get a lot of compliments on the paint!”

Congratulations from us at Auson! You have done a great job with our pine tar vitriol.
